July 18, 2026

The station was alerted to an electrical line down on the roadway. Command 2 responded, led by Chief Pruitt. Engine 203 then responded, with Assistant Chief Cavanaugh and two firefighters.

Chief Pruitt arrived at the location and established command. The situation was reported as a power line hanging due to a broken tree branch on the supply line to a residence, creating unsafe conditions.

Engine 203 arrived at the scene. The roadway was closed and Delmarva Power was requested for assistance. Units remained on scene for an extended period while awaiting the utility company.

Once the hazard was removed and the area declared safe, command was terminated and all units returned to the station. Total scene time was approximately one hour.

Units: Command 2, Engine 203
